Friday, July 12 – 7:30 p.m. in Turner Hall
In the middle of New York City, in the heart of Times Square, sits the Brill Building, home to songwriters Carole King, Neil Sedaka, Lieber & Stoller, Neil Diamond, and Barry Mann & Cynthia Weill among others. The songs they wrote changed the sound of popular music and became some of the most iconic songs of all time. “Breaking Up is Hard to Do”, “Where the Boys Are”, “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow”, and “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling” all came from the famed music factory. Multi-award winning vocalist Scott Coulter, who wowed the 2018 Festival audience with his renditions of the music of Ella Fitzgerald, will take you on a journey into the music and the stories of the singers and songs that defined a generation.
