New Family Concert in beautiful Grant Park on Sunday, July 15th at 1:00 p.m.
Bring a picnic and a blanket and relax in lovely Grant Park while enjoying a family-friendly performance of New Orleans-style brass band music inspired by the great contemporary bands. The Extra Crispy Brass Band is an eight-person, Milwaukee-based music group with a repertoire that includes pieces from the turn of last century (19th!), traditionals by Louis Armstrong and Sidney Bechet, modern funk tunes, and originals. If Mother Nature does not cooperate with lovely weather, no need to change plans – the performance will seamlessly move to Turner Hall.
To add to your enjoyment, picnic lunches for the Sunday concert in the park can be pre-ordered from Fried Green Tomatoes and picked up at Grant Park (or at Turner Hall in case of rain) prior to the performance.
