About the artists:

Nancy A. Carroll, flute, MM, MLS, currently works at Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque IA where she serves as Archivist for the seminary and also for Region Five of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.  Her music pedigree includes undergraduate and graduate degrees in instrumental music education and flute performance, respectively, from Muskingum University (Ohio) and Kent State University (Ohio); her graduate degree in library/information science is from The University of Iowa.  Nancy has taught instrumental music in K-12 school settings as well as at the university and college level, and served as flutist in various community/collegiate orchestras and wind ensembles.  She remains musically active in chamber music venues and church instrumental ensembles in the Tri-State area.

Roy W. Carroll, Ph.D., is professor of music at Loras College in Dubuque, IA, where his 30+ tenure has included teaching music theory, applied piano, organ and harpsichord, and general studies courses in the fine arts.  A graduate of Muskingum University, Kent State University and The University of Iowa with degrees in choral music education, piano, organ performance and sacred music , Roy also teaches part-time at Wartburg Theological Seminary where he serves as Cantor and Instructor of Church Music.  An active performer, Roy also serves as Principal Harpsichordist and Organist with the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra.
